Who we are
A.C.Hare is a small, family-run business, large enough to design and produce beautiful, handmade footwear but small enough to care and create quality and sustainable boots to pass through the generations.
We are passionate about keeping dying crafts alive. Whilst our boots are designed exclusively in the UK they are handmade by traditional artisans in Spain using the highest quality natural materials by people who care passionately about their craft and whose knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. We believe in preserving these rare manufacturing techniques and incorporating them into our collections as they are often more sustainable than newer ones.
All our raw materials are carefully and thoughtfully sourced to ensure quality footwear that will stand the test of time. The majority of our collection is made using the Goodyear welt™ construction, which ensures a longer lifecycle for the shoes, often 10 years or more, if cared for correctly.

At A.C.Hare, we pride ourselves on cutting out the middle men. We have developed close relationships with our factories that are family owned. We work closely with our artisans to create beautiful and sustainable footwear using age-old techniques designed to out last and out perform mass produced goods. Our boots are designed to be passed through generations.
Ensuring such a close working relationship with our factories ensures that the boots that you receive are carefully though through and of the highest quality.

Inspired by the past and providing for the future. We care about our planet
We care about not only our planet but the sustainability of our brand and products. All our raw materials are meticulously sourced, our tanneries are members of the Leather Working Group. There is no fancy packaging, it is simple and recyclable to reduce our carbon footprint whilst creating new ones in A.C.Hares.
We even go one step further and plant one tree for every pair of boots sold, supporting global reforestation with our partner One Tree Planted.
